When water evaporates the air underneeath it becomes cooler. The reason for this is that the air is already hot because it needs to be hot to make something evaporate. So when the waters cool temprature comes into contact with the atmospheirs hot temprature it becomes cooler. But not 100% cooler because they have to mix and meet at a middel temprature. That's why when water evaporates the air beneath it becomes cooler.
