Anthony-I think that you stated the fact's clearly, but, I do believe you were to answer all part's of the prompt and include a more detailed description.
Tykeema-That's a great response Tykeema.

Cycle 2 Week 8

In the five months of blogging for science class, I have noticed a few changes in my academics. For one it has improved my writing and researching skills. Because before I would find it next to impossible to add any evidence to any of my writing, but since I am now capable of finding good research I add more evidence. But unfortunately i didn't develop this skill after one blog, though it might have been awesome if I would have, but when I did develop that skill it helped me on the NJ ASK by being able to back up my answer's. Also in some earlier blogs I do believe that I could have done much better on them by adding details and insight. But if I would have had those skills then maybe I would have done better on the old blogs.

Emran-Your post was interesting, but your supposed to answer all parts of the question, also it might have been wiser to take your time and try to add some more evidence to back your response up.
Neejai-Nice work but you could give some more details about the oil spill.

Cycle 2 Week 7

The Jupiter oil spill went down in history as one of the top 10 most famous spills in history. This oil spill wasn't an accident on the crew or the captain's part, instead it was caused by, "the tank vessel of Jupiter caught fire and exploded during offloading operations". This spill took place,"on the Saginaw river near Bay City, Michigan",& the type of oil spilled was petroleum oil. There was 75 feet of oil spilled in the Jupiter Oil Spill. Also, the actual oil spill actually only took half an hour to control, because the oil spill occurred when the ship was delivering the oil. So they knew how much oil was spilled, because they knew they had an easier time cleaning it.
Here's a picture link for the spill :

Cycle 2 Week 6

Although most people may think that there is only one type of engineering there are actually multiple types of engineering. One of those types is, Marine and Ocean engineering, which is just "deal with the design of ocean vehicles, marine propulsion systems, and marine structures such as harbors, docks, and offshore drilling platforms. These engineers are exploring and developing the natural resources and transportation systems of the ocean." Also, a different type is Biomedical Engineers, and they "study biology and medicine to develop technologies related to health care. They develop medical diagnostic machines, medical instruments, artificial organs, joint replacement parts, and prosthetic devices. ' A third type is, Audio engineering, the audio engineers create sounds. If I had a choice to go into engineering, i would become a Bio-engineer. I would go into this because,"Bio-engineers study living systems and apply that knowledge to solve various problems. They study the safety of food supplies, keep desirable organisms alive in fermentation processes, and design biologically based sensors. Bioengineering is widely used to destroy wastes and clean up contaminated soil and water. These engineers contribute greatly to human health and the environment." & I quite frankly find studying that very interesting.
