Cycle 2 Week5- Blogging in school

In reading "Ms. Jenkins Science Blog" I learned that in blogging you can pretty much write about anything. From blogging about lesson plans to common science questions. Also, you can write about preparations for upcoming crutial exams. As Ms. Jenkins did,"In preparation for the upcoming CST, we've taken the BAM time machine back to 4th grade, reviewing the principles of magnetism and electricity. We explored the way magnets attract and repel, and built several types of circuits (parallel and series)." In writing this blog Ms. Jenkins has given me a few ideas for what topics to write about in future blogs. Like, I could write about how I prepared for a FIFA or the NJ ask in my blog.

I commented this on Emran's blog-What types of things do you learn from technology that you don't from school?

I commented this on Shackur's blog-Interesting view.

Cycle2 Week 5- my blogging

The technology that we've used in science has benefited me in multiple ways, that i would have never fathomed to occur by just using technology. One of the ways that blogging has helped, was by perfecting my writing skills. Before I used to just write a few sentences for any type of open-ended responses and not usually think twice about what I would write. Since blogging for science class I have now been adding insight and stating evidence. Because of blogging and its benefiting my writing, the NJ ask was super easy. Aside from blogging other resources in technology that was beneficial was gmail. This was beneficial because it allowed me to converse with friends outside of the school.

This is what I told Shackur:Nice job, but you might want to include a quote from the video.
& this is what I told Antoine-OK, you might want to explain it in more details.

week4

The video that I watched was "Hooked On Science". This video was basically about the relationship between art& academics. But it " has a greater connection to Science," this is because art and science both have color theory. It states in the video"any time you look at a painting your talking about color theory, & how color and light react." So when you talk about color & art your basically talking about science. It also states "the light waves & the mid background is science related....I teach science color theory and color pigment theory." So i learned that science and art are very similar so when I am enjoying a nice Picasso painting on the internet I can thank science for allowing the colors to be seen. THis relates to me because I never rely thought that art and science were similar.

I made this comment to Zsiara's blog-This is very insightful, but to make it a bit better you could have used some evidence from the article.
I made this comment to Natile's blog-Great job Natalie on the blog.

Cycle 2 Week 3

I've learned quite a few important points from the article "Sea Turtle Soup? No Thanks!" One of the things that I've learned is "sea turtles (family Cheloniidae) absorb a lot of pollution from the ocean, including pesticides and heavy metals like mercury and cadmium. These toxins are health hazards for both turtles and humans and can cause permanent damage to their bodies. Sea turtles also carry the bacteria salmonella..." Since some people around the world eat sea turtle the turtle's that they eat could be infected so the chances of them getting fatally sick are high. Another thing that I learned is,"Sea turtles have been on Earth for millions of years, but they are in danger of going extinct. The main threat to them is people who kill them for food..." So in truth we have been killing one the earth's oldest & most beautiful creatures for our own wrong purposes. Because we as humans don"t need to have sea turtle accessories nor eat an exotic sea turtle cuisine. The way this article applies to me and the world around me is that not even the most harmed animal con seem to not be even more harmed by humans in this world. So people around the world should stop eating sea turtle's and stop using them for unessential reasons.
